Shoo Be Do Wop!

Ah! the 50's. The end of WWII brought thousands of young servicemen back to America to begin their lives again and start families.  We saw the emergence of American Bandstand....rock and roll, poodle skirts and saddle shoes,  denim jeans and blue suede shoes, pony tails for girls, flat tops for guys,   Teenagers were given their own identity class and were represented by James Dean who created a fashion an attitude sensation with "Rebel Without a Cause".    It's a trip down memory lane when you stop in this weekend at Pieceful Quilting's  Riverhead location  for Shop Hop 2011 where the poodle skirts and greasers are well represented!  The music and fashion will bring you back to this era and you might never want to leave.
