WALL of PAIN.  Your UFO must be baby size quilt or larger.  It can be in any stage of completion.  Only ONE entry per customer.

Angie and the gang would like to say THANK YOU to all those who participated in our Drop Your Pants clothing drive to benefit the shelters of VIBES, Siena House and The Retreat.

Over 900 panties were collected...935 to be exact! In addition we received donations of camis, bras, socks and other un-mentionables.




Now that's a panty raid!

For those of you keeping track of panty totals by store, the competition was fierce but the results are now in and The winner by a total of 635 to 250 is RIVERHEAD!

We know how our communty loves to help a fellow neighbor out well here's how YOU can help...We're collecting new clean underwear that will be donated to The Retreat, Siena House and VIBES. These are organizations that provide services to battered women. And because no good deed goes unnoticed, we have a special thank you to all those who donate. In return for bringing in new clean underwear for women and children we will give you some underwear you can really use! 

Donation bins are filling up but we want them overflowing....So please stop by Pieceful Quilting today to show your support. Donations for Drop your Pants ill be accepted through November 12 at both locations.

Scrap Happy with a Pieceful Quilting Retreat

In years past our getaway weekends have been so much fun, we expect to see old friends again at this retreat. This year the theme is Scrap Happy.  But it’s a mystery project, so I can’t give away too much information.  One thing for sure, we will have a great time and the food will be fabulous.  And don’t forget the Tempur-pedic beds!

The retreat includes Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast, lunch and dinner and Sunday breakfast.  Snacks will be available in the sewing/meeting room all day.

The project materials are included in the fee and the project is a mystery.  The all-inclusive price is $395 per person double occupancy.  There are a few single occupancy rooms available at $525. and spots are booking FAST!!!

This year you have a choice of two weekends - February 24, 25 and 26 OR March 2, 3 and 4.  ALL REGISTRATIONS/RESERVATIONS  WILL BE TAKEN THROUGH THE RIVERHEAD SHOP at 631-727-5909.  A $100 non-refundable deposit is required and the balance is due 45 days before the event oron January 6, 2011.

And the winner of QFL Superbowl Sunday in East Northport is.....

Hurricane Irene may have wreaked havoc as she tore through Long Island in late August but you can't keep those Pieceful Quilting Bees down.  The PQ Bees quickly regrouped, brought in their special teams unit and rescheduled the QFL SuperBowl for Sunday, Sept. 11.  As a team they "buzzed" on through and made 41 quilts!  The quilts will be donated to St. Johnsland Nursing Home in Kings Park.

All of  the Pieceful Quilting  Bees and Penguins team members enjoyed racking up points during their themed get-togethers.

In keeping with  SuperBowl tradition we've named a winner in each store:
The QFL Winner for East Northport; the Pieceful Quilting Bees was:  Jennifer B.

These ladies were so excited for the First Friday Finishers in Riverhead.  They seized the day by having a simple dinner with friends and finally got to finish what they started. Kudos ladies!  You certainly know how to get the job done!
