The MILLION Pillowcase Challenge comes to Pieceful Quilting

We're off to a great start with the Million Pillowcase Challenge at Pieceful Quilting. We already have almost 50 pillowcases done. Thanks to Wendy Rottner and company shown here in these great pictures. Wendy hosted a sewing session at her home and using their own stashes managed to finished a load of pillowcases.
The Million Pillowcase Challenge is a year-long national initiative to create and donate one million pillowcases to local charities.

Pieceful Quilting will be hosting our own party to git 'er done. The price of admission to these parties is canned goods which will be donated to Island Harvest, a Long Island wide service organization that rescues food for shelters throughout Long Island.

Come into either Pieceful Quilting Shop and sew a pillowcase using our machines and our fabric. We'll give you copies of the pillowcase patterns too. We will be donating these pillowcases to local women's shelters. If you would like to host a party at your house and use some of your stash, let us know and we'll get your pillowcases into the right hands.

Riverhead Parties will take place on Tuesday March 30 from 1 - 8pm and Saturday May 1st from 11 - 4pm. The East Northport Parties will take place on Friday April 2nd from 4 - 8pm and Monday April 26 from 11 - 4pm.

See you then.
